The machinery we use is a Rayco 1625. It is a self propelled petrol driven machine with 25hp.

The picture on the right shows how the stump grinder works, moving through the stump with the grinding wheel being swept from left to right hydraulically.

The stump grinder is quite manoeuvrable so can access awkward areas.

Despite its power and efficiency the grinder can negotiate a gap as small as 35ins enabling it to pass through a 3ft gate. (This can be seen on the left here).
